Another day, another player linked. Only this time it appears that it could be more than just normal tabloid fantasy.
Quotes from West Ham chairman and pornography king, David Sullivan, suggest Spurs have made a bid for Scott Parker that has been refused. Rumours are West Ham have offered the 29 year old former McDonald’s advert kid a 75k per week 5 year deal to stay at Upton Park. Good for them. Don’t get me wrong, Scott Parker often looks quite good in what can only be described as a not very good team. Is he the sort of player that can lift a team on the back of their best ever premier league finish to even higher standards? The answer in layman’s terms would no, never, nada, not in your life, oh my god are you mental.
So why is Redknapp giving the likes of Parker and Bellamy to our chairman, Daniel Levy, to sign? Unfortunately for me, as I said in a previous article either Redknapp can’t attract players that will make us better for one reason or another or doesn’t have the ambition to see what type of player will. Money comes into it of course but as we all know British players are often more expensive than their foreign counterparts, in transfer fees and salary. I’d prefer to buy British every time but if there aren’t the British players out there that will improve the current squad why bother?
It’s not the possibility that we can’t pay the big time players or attract them that bothers me. It’s the names we seem to be getting linked with.
By Harry’s own admission we’re looking to sign 2-3 players. All of which he says he has decided upon. Was one of them Parker? Was Parker the most important of those 3 signings? Can we expect players of equal capability to be on that list too?
I’d rather we sign better players than we’ve currently got, than be linked with world class players we all know we’ve got no chance of signing but surely there’s better out there than two players in Parker and Bellamy who are very much like the maligned Jermaine Jenas who occasionally show signs of greatness and can win matches on their own but all too often are either injured or just plain crap?
Is it me or are we experiencing a sudden lull in pre-season? I’m not sure whether it’s the calm before the storm but even the press are regurgitating stories from a month ago just to fill their papers and websites. Nothings going on. So I thought I’d take a quick look at how the USA tour went.
Now the lads have travelled back from their brief tour of the good ol’ US of A it’s time to get on with the serious stuff. I’m not saying the 3 friendlies we had out there weren’t serious though. In fact, excusing the jet lag, sahara like heat and the occasional Harry Redknapp sound bite the tour seemed like a success.
Pre-season is about 2 things. One, getting your fitness levels as close to match fit as possible so you can hit the ground running when the matches come thick and fast from mid August. It’s also about new players bedding in, getting to know their team mates, style of play, training techniques etc. As we’re yet to sign any new players it was all down to the youngsters and fringe players as well to stake their claim to be included in the 25 man league squad.
Match Highlights: New York Red Bulls 1 – 2 Spurs
Playing 2 American teams half way through their season has to be good for fitness levels. Add Sporting Lisbon to that who are further advanced in their preparations due to a Europa League game this Thursday and the trip was clearly beneficial. I would’ve liked to see the world cup players involved in some way though. Quite why players need the amount of time they were given is beyond me but that’s the way it is. Having returned to training this week the spine of our team (Defoe, Crouch, Lennon, Dawson, King, Gomes, Palacios) are 2 weeks behind everyone else.
Unless those players play for a Spurs XI team travelling to Orient and Ipswich in the next week they’ll only have 3 games to get back into the swing of things again before August 14th. Luckily we’re not alone in this. Any team with international players will have to deal with it.
Unfortunately during the tour, “the little magician” Modric and “the best thing about me is my song” Pav picked up injuries, although we’re led to believe neither is too serious. Some serious positives to come from the 3 friendlies were the performances of some of our youngsters.
Townsend, Walker and Obika all showed maturity and talent when they had their chance. Obika less so than the other 2 but that was mainly down to minutes played. When he did play, he not only took his goal well against Sporting but he showed what a good footballing brain he has with some of his movement. That can only bode well for his future.
Townsend has looked a danger throughout pre-season so far. Big, strong, fast and is probably closest to breaking into the first team on a regular basis. Whether he can do it with the players we currently have at our disposal and are looking to buy is another question. Players will only get better though if someone takes the chance on them.
Match Highlights: Sporting Lisbon 2 – 2 Spurs
Kyle Walker had an outstanding game against a Sporting team who love to attack with guile and speed. He has a calmness about him that reminds me of a young Ledley King. That calmness can be his undoing at times but with a more experienced centre back alongside him I would have no problem seeing him playing in the premiership. Maybe against some of the less talented strikers to begin with but if he took his chance there’d be no need to search for a new signing in that position. He very rarely gave the ball away in any game he played, always looking like he had time and space to pick his pass. The sign of a good player they say.
A man who got a lot of stick from most corners of white hart lane and who has started to lose the love of his more ardent fans is Robbie Keane. He didn’t look right during the San Jose and Red Bulls games but once he scored his goal against Sporting he transformed back to the Keano we once knew and idolised. Is it a confidence thing? Who knows. I think the vast majority have come to the conclusion that he’d be better off signing for another boyhood team and while I was worried no-one would touch him after his first two performances I think he showed enough in the third that should make someone part with £7m or so. Whoever he signs for he’s likely to get them 20-25 goals a season in all competitions. I would’ve thought Newcastle, Sunderland or Villa would jump at that. Time will tell but the fact Defoe, Crouch and Pav didn’t get any or little with the latter, playing time has benefited Keane and hopefully Spurs one way or another.
All in all, footballing wise the tour must be regarded a success. Financially I’m sure it was. There’s plenty of Spurs fans on both the west coast and east coast of the states, with both sides having their own supporters clubs set up. I’m sure it was great for them to be able to watch their team play even if it didn’t contain most of the first team at times. If the tour also meant more fans joining those clubs and buying official merchandise I’m sure Mr Levy will be rubbing his hands together like Scrooge McDuck about to jump into his pool of cash.
Is Harry Redknapp attractive? The obvious answer would be, hell no. Look at him, he’s no Jamie or the more appealing Louise unless you’re that way inclined, but either way the poor Redknapp Snr has only got a face his mother could love and I suspect some of the time she wasn’t keen.
Of course I don’t really mean is Redknapp attractive in the literal sense of the word. I’m more concerned with his ability to attract the top players to Spurs. As I’ve said before in Champions League Promises we don’t seem able at the moment to attract that marquee signing. An argument would be we don’t need one and while I say marquee I don’t mean an expensive player who will sell lots of shirts but not really perform. A marquee player for me is one that will not only sell lots of shirts but will also lift the squad to another level. We probably need more than one.
Are we the best team in England? No. So we need to strengthen not only to get better but also to tread water in the top 4 with teams around us trying their best to improve too.
Look at the signings Redknapp has made in his career. No “marquee” players. He’s comically referred to as a wheeler dealer which was great for teams like West Ham and Portsmouth who didn’t have the money or the stature to try and attract Europe’s finest. He would unearth little gems who would put their careers in his hands for the chance to play in England and earn buckets of money. It’s not hard to prise players away from clubs like Lens where they’re earning £15k per week to any club in the Premiership on £35k per week.
What’s difficult is convincing a player currently playing Champions League football in countries like Spain and Italy and earning equivalent to what Spurs can offer to come and play in a colder climate, a more physical league where they have to give half of their wage to the British tax man.
He’s not Fergie, Wenger, Mourinho or even Benitez. How well known is Harry Redknapp outside of England? I’m not saying within coaching, managerial and top brass circles, I’m suggesting players don’t really know who he is.
Look at who he’s signed since he became Spurs boss. Defoe, Palacios, Cudicini, Chimbonda, Keane, Crouch and Bassong. In Defoe and Crouch he had 2 players he had worked with before, Chimbonda and Keane were returning Spurs which left Cudicini, a keeper who had resigned himself to sitting on Chelsea’s bench forever, Bassong, who would’ve given anything to jump the sinking ship that was Newcastle in the championship and Palacios who had the choice of staying at Wigan or playing for Spurs. With no offence to Wigan, it’s not a tough decision.
All the players who work with Redknapp seem to say how good it is and what a very talented coach he is. However, players have got to work with him to find that out. There’s not the allure of working with a Fergie or Wenger that means players will take a chance of maybe not even playing in the first team immediately just to work with them. It’s not Harry’s fault of course. It’s the result of a career spent battling relegation with “small” clubs (yes West Ham you’re small) and getting the best out of the players he’s got.
Even more worryingly, the reason we’ve only been seriously linked with the likes of Cole, Bellamy and Richards is not only down to Redknapp but also down the Tottenham Hotspur FC. The last time we were really one of Europe’s elite was nearly 30 years ago. That’s an entire generation of footballers (and fans) that have grown up seeing spurs as a mid-table team. Why are we surprised when players like Berbatov saw us as a stepping stone to the likes of United?
If players like Suarez see us in the same light they’ll only sign for us if they don’t believe there are better options for them at the moment and lets be honest footballers aren’t known for the modesty. I’m not saying Suarez and players like him are the answer to all our questions, nor am I even saying we need a new striker, but if Redknapp feels we do, how are we going to attract them without throwing vast amounts of cash at the situation which is a road we don’t want to travel down, just ask Leeds fans (if you can stop them fighting and running into lampposts).
I have no doubt Redknapp could work with the best and make them better and as such Spurs would improve beyond measure. I guess just like money breeds money, success also breeds success.
Just a quick note on Joe Cole. When we were first linked to him I thought as it would be a free transfer it had the potential to be a very good signing for the club. He’s got plenty of experience and when fit is an exceptional talent. It would still be a bit of a gamble due to his recent injury problems but at 28 he could still have 3-4 very good years in front of him.
Then the talk of wages started to come up and most people believed we shouldn’t break our pay structure to accommodate one player and rightly so. The way around that is a decent signing on fee. Rumours are we offered wages of around £60k per week and £5m for joining. We’ve also got one of the best bonus schemes in the league.
I would’ve thought that offer, plus the chance to work with a manager Cole himself has labelled a father figure, play in the champions league, stay in London meaning he doesn’t have to move and have what appears to be a promise from Redknapp that he’d play regular football at White Hart Lane would be enough for him. So why has this circus continued on?
What is Cole waiting for? He’s been offered mega money from Manchester City according to some reports but hasn’t signed there and now there’s the chance he could go to Liverpool. If he went there and played well with Gerrard it would do his England chances no harm but he would also be joining a team that I can’t see offering him much more a week than we can, doesn’t have champions league football and seems to go from one crisis to another in recent months.
Pre-season training will start for the world cup players shortly, some going back to their clubs this week so when is he going to make his decision?
Over the weekend Redknapp has distanced himself from the whole thing saying he’d rather concentrate on signing Bellamy. Not a great idea from my point of view but I understand his feelings.
This whole will he, won’t he thing has left another sour taste in my mouth. As much as I love football and don’t have a problem with the amount of money footballers earn or what they do with it, there are certain things like the new kit being delayed obviously for financial reasons that have once again made it clear that the fans aren’t important any more.
I understand people want to earn as much money as they can and I’m all for that, but it’s not the be all and end all. Isn’t a 3 year deal worth approximately £15m plus bonuses enough for any 28 year old? Then of course there’s the point of view of the fan. We want players to want to come to White Hart Lane, not come because it’s their only resort or best financially.
Of course those things come into play but if Cole is waiting for a better offer, whether that’s financially or for footballing reasons then let him wait.
He clearly isn’t thrilled at playing for us or the deal would’ve been finalised by now so it’s time to pull the plug on the whole thing. Joe Cole isn’t bigger than the club. Well if we’re honest, he’s not bigger than the average Oompa Lumpa but you get what I mean. He’s not bigger than any of the current squad.
People, including myself don’t want Bellamy at the club not only because of his inconsistent performances but also his track record in the dressing room. However, what’s to say the way Cole has basically held clubs to ransom over the summer will breed anything but contempt if he did eventually give us his signature?
Now I have your attention – just something I was talking about with a mate recently, and would be interested in your opinions as always.
We all have a favourite ever player from Spurs, and I am of the impression that it is generally a player from when you first started to go to games, as obviously there had to be something to get and keep your interest. Now, I am not picking on Gazza per se, but wanted to use a good example that we are all aware of and can use as a reference point.
The best player, without doubt, that I saw play on a regular basis was Hoddle. By miles the most gifted player I have seen, and in a era where his style of play wasn’t massively appreciated which can be seen by the lack of England caps he got.
When I met Morris Keston (did I mention that before….) we touched on his best ever player, and they were mainly from the 50s and 60s, which would also make sense.
But, and this is my point, how could I compare Hoddle to Chivers or Greaves as players – there is limited enough footage of Hoddle, and the further you go back there is less and less footage, so is harder to compare. An excellent book The Best Footballer You Never Saw by Paolo Hewitt describes such a player who was judged excellent, but I doubt there is a minute of footage in existence of Robin Friday.
And so to the Gazza point specifically. I think his career was a perfect time for him as a player – we had moved from highlights of one or two games a week (yes, I remember that) to having a bit of regular live football, and most games having cameras there so showing most if not all goals.
But, and it is a crucial point, now you can watch every premiership game every week, so players are far more under the spotlight than ever – and the good, bad and indifferent performances are all there and commented on all the time. So having enough coverage to show the skills and goals, but not enough to concentrate on any failings?
I am sure Hoddle was not genius in every game he played, but that is what I remember. I am sure Gazza wasn’t either, but there is enough footage of him doing great stuff that it appears he was excellent all the time.
So, was Gazza any good, the footage seems to show he was – but in my view he had nothing on Hoddle.

Finally the club has announced the pre-sale of the new 2010/11 home, away and third kits. We’ve been waiting all summer for the club to finalise the main sponsor. We know the design was completed months ago because the leaks of the kit came out before the end of last season.
It’s all good news financially wise that Levy has held out for the best deal he can get and will even introduce a revolutionary idea of having more than one sponsor for different competitions. This will obviously mean more money for the club and shows our revered leader in his greatest light. However, once again it seems the club has forgotten one very important thing, the fans.
The home shirt (shorts and socks if you’re that way inclined) go on sale on September 24th, a full 6 weeks after the season kicks off. The familiar looking away shirt is an even longer wait, being released on October 02nd. If you can’t wait for either of those or fancy buying them all you can get the child friendly “limited edition” third kit from August 14th.
This is obviously being done for financial reasons again. I presume the only chance of Levy getting a second sponsor for the cup competitions will be to wait until we know whether we’re in the champions league group stage. He will have to release the Autonomy sponsored shirt at the same time as the second sponsored shirt or the second deal would be worth a lot less.
Think about it, if you’re a company considering sponsoring spurs in the cup competitions but the shirt with your logo on will come out 6-8 weeks after the league version who’s going to be left to buy your shirt? Most fans will have bought a shirt if they’re going to buy one and you’ll be left with the people who buy every shirt available and collect them in a dusty room in their mums house. They’ll be no beer bellied men walking down their local high street or Gran Canaria with your logo plastered all over them.
So while Levy has made the right decision once again financially it’s been done in spite of the people who make the club the real money. The people who spend vast amounts of their monthly wage on being part of the club. The beating heart that ultimately keeps the club alive.
Having said that, I’m popping over to the official club shop to pre-order my new shirt. I’m not happy about it though.
One good season. That’s all we can honestly say we’ve had since the formation of the premier league. Ok, so there were the two 5th place finishes which weren’t by any stretch of the imagination bad times, but they were what I would call, typical spurs. Promised so much and then left you feeling empty and sick at the end.
Judging by the mad dash for tickets to the opening game of the season against City I’m wondering if we’re about to experience the Glory years again but not in the good sense of the word.
How many fans are now planning on seeing the team on a regular basis compared to seasons gone by? How many new fans will be looking at spurs thinking that’ll do, for this season at least. Does that leave the rest of us scrambling to get tickets alongside these new inhabitants of white hart lane?
I can only imagine what its going to be like when tickets for the Champions League games go on sale (as long as we get there).
Of course the more fans a club has, the better financially it usually is. It helps to have a set of fans that willingly pay the highest ticket prices in the country, sell out every game and take the best away support everywhere, but I’ve got a genuine fear that has arisen from our success. Will people think I’m a glory supporter? Jumping on the bandwagon of a champions league team?
I swear I’d never seen a Man City fan where I live until the Arab money arrived and now they’re everywhere. I know a guy who supports Chelsea and he only ever wears old Chelsea kits from the pre oil tycoon days when they were competing regularly with West Ham for the honour of worst London team. It’s like a statement to everyone, making sure they don’t confuse him with the “prawn sandwich” brigade.
So from now on when I want to wear my colours I’ll be wearing my 1990 shirt. It may be impossible to get off once I’ve got it on and it may now only get to my naval but God dammit if that’s what I’ve got to do to make everyone aware of the utter garbage I’ve had to watch and the amount of painful memories I’ve had over the years to get to a point where I can almost take a optimistic view at a forthcoming game then so be it.
I could even be one of those fans that start all their conversations regarding football with, “I’ve supported Spurs for over 20 years” just to make my point.
Maybe I became a little over excited when we got into that coveted 4th spot last season. It was after all what the club, players and more importantly if you’re reading this, the fans had been craving and praying for since the Champions League was formed.
It was the start of a new beginning for the club. Surely the stepping stone onto bigger and better things? Financially we would now be able to really compete with Europe’s elite especially when you consider we’ve never been that far away from them in that sense anyway. The ability to attract the seriously big names, the Klinsmann type signings that would not only perform well but would stay for more than one season too.
I’m not pretending I thought we’d be scouting Lionel Messi and the worlds best but I had hopes of the odd world class player and the addition of some of Europe’s best youngsters.
So, with one month until the season kicks off and 7 weeks until the transfer window shuts I’ve got to admit I’m a little disappointed the players we seem to have been seriously linked with and according to the various “In the knows” have been in discussions with are Joe Cole, Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards.
Now, don’t get me wrong. They’re all fine players in their own right, except Bellamy but I’ll get onto that. I wouldn’t think many would argue that Cole is the better of the 3 but would people be quite as keen on his signing if he wasn’t on a free? I know that will mean he’ll get a decent signing on fee and his salary will undoubtedly be one of if not the highest at the club so he’s not exactly free but we’re not having to give £15m to another club. My only fear with Cole is he’s spent a large amount of the last 2 seasons injured at various points and when he has played he hasn’t set the world on fire. There’s obviously some serious talent there and he could be just what we need to unlock defences when teams come to the Lane with 10 men behind the ball but it’s still a risk.
Micah Richards is another risk. Rumours are the fee would be around the £8-10m mark for a defender. Again, he’s got immense potential but seems to have ruined it by having an excessive social life. Is London the best place for someone like that? If he can buckle down I think he’d be an excellent signing but hardly front page news.
Then there’s Mr Bellamy. A player who hasn’t managed to stay at a club longer than we’ve been able to keep the same manager, leaving disruption and broken bones in his wake. Redknapp clearly likes him and he does have the odd good game. He started last season on fire but finished it by letting that flying winger we all know as Younes Kaboul run over him to supply the cross that ultimately ended City’s top 4 dreams. Do we really need another Jermaine Jenas? Actually that’s harsh on JJ, his form may go up and down more than a girls top during Mardi Gras, but he’s never really caused the club any problems or moaned about his position on the bench. Bellamy would almost certainly do all those things.
When the season finished we were linked with players like Dzeko and Suarez. We’re still being linked with various players of similar calibre in the press but they don’t appear to be as serious as the other three.
With the exception of Joe Cole I think Bellamy and Richards are the sort of players we would be linked with and could buy without the champions league. Does Harry really believe the squad we’ve currently got is good enough without for example a striker that can almost guarantee 20+ league goals and 30+ overall goals?
As long as we don’t fall apart during the qualifying stage we’ll be playing in an extra competition this season and the teams in the league around us will be stronger. City are spending as big as they were before and spending well by the looks of things. Liverpool probably won’t be as bad as they were last season, and if someone like Everton can keep injury free they’ll be up their fighting too. So if we want to be in the Champions League and therefore a top 4 finish again surely we need to improve again.
Are Joe Cole, Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards good enough to improve us the amount we need?
I know this is completely un-spurs related, well almost, but it’s such perfect television for any Spurs fan to watch over and over again.
For supporters of other clubs that won’t be mentioned here (ever) it’ll result in a slightly less positive response. The look on his poor little face when he looks down and realises what his team mates have done is priceless especially as I’m sure there’s a little grin he’s trying to suppress.
Will he leave or won’t he? Will they be better or worse if he does? Quite frankly I don’t care, but if he does stay I wouldn’t mind this being played over and over again on the Jumbotron during the warm-up, the next time the north London derby visits White Hart Lane.
By the time the last game of the season was upon us, as I travelled up to Burnley, I was ready for a break, I was spent, done in and had little to no energy left, the fight for champions league, what ive craved for so long had taken its toll on me just like the rest of the team. However after a few weeks of doing nothing and a complete none starter in the world cup for England I was ready to start again, I was ready for our first pre-season friendly at the dizzy heights of, erm Bournemouth.
I had never been to Bournemouth and if im honest had I been before I probably wouldnt have bothered.
We arrived on Friday night and checked into our hotel, I was really looking forward to the heated indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi and I wasnt disappointed however alarm bells started to ring when we where told of the on-site bowling green, ballroom and cinema. I’m thinking Rita, Sue and Bob too has never graced that screen. The cocktail bar, or really just a bar that has a few things you could get a cocktail out of, was open as long as you want although most of the guests are probably in bed before midnight.
We ventured into town and stumbled upon what I can only describe as Brokeback Mountain on acid, there was just far too many checked shirts in one place, including worn by women, oh and a man dressed as a whoopie cushion, yes Bournemouth is freaksville, the only thing you could pull in that place is a muscle trying to compete against hulk hogan on the dance floor. Still, could be worse, at least we could go to our hotel when we felt like it, some poor sods had to be in by 12.30 before they locked the doors or they wouldnt get in. Hello is this the 80`s?
So we move onto Saturday and the match, briefly seeing Olly and his mate before the game we headed into the ground. One question is why do teams bother to allocate seats if your just going to sit anywhere, not very fair when we’ve had the seats booked for a long time but we manageed to get near to where we had originally booked seats for.
The first half saw us starting with the team of: Cudicini, Hutton, Butcher, Caulker, Bale, Bentley, Bostock, Parrot, Mason, Keane and Obika.
Starting off quietly Bentley seemed to be running around nicely making the most of playing with his younger team mates in contrast sadly to Keane, who seemed to be distant, although he tried and managed a smile my way (OK probably wasnt for me). I cant help but think thats it from Keano, that I will ever see in a spurs shirt again, mixed emotions my head says its for the best but my heart doesn’t agree. The kids looked good, although for me the jury is still out on Mason, I just cant decide if Ryan is up to the mark or not. Its been mentioned he was out of position but Im just not sure that was it, he is one that I’m undecided on.
We did of course then lose Bentley who was replaced by Townsend, who was my man of the match. At first I thought Bentley just had cramp but sadly it seems he may be out (pulled ankle ligaments – out for 3-4 weeks). Its a shame because he looked up for it and probably what we will need as we welcome back a tired and a little adverse from going in for a challenge Lennon at the start of the season.
The seond half they just didnt really try which made us look probably better than we where in all fairness, not to take anything away from the performance but there is a hell of a difference between Bournemouth and Spurs.
Second half saw us with: Alnwick, Naughton, Kaboul, Livermore, Rose, Smith, Jenas, Modric, Tarabat, Pav and of course still Townsend.
The second half also saw us nail 3 more goals, 1 from Danny Rose and 2 from Pav, although im very sure had Pav not gone for the same ball as Townsend he would have been on the score sheet as well, as it happened Pav struck the ball just as Townsend did and sent it over the cross bar as a result. It was good to see Porno Ben keep a clean sheet although they never really looked like they would score. Naughton looked good to me and id like to see him get into the first team even if its just to start with cup runs. Kaboul nearly netted an own goal and didnt look anywhere near as stable as he did towards the end of the season. That would worry me if it was not still a long way off to the start of the season and as has been said before, pre-season isnt really that important. Rose I was happy with as well. Jenas even managed to stay on his feet but I still would rather he left. You will be pleased to hear I thought Modders ran around more on Saturday which is what Ive tried to get across previously, perhaps he has read my posts on the forum. Pav was a little ball greedy, if its a case of him fighting his case to be 1st choice or for people to come in for him I dont know but he wasnt playing for team Tottenham thats for sure, but as I’ve said its a pre-season friendly and as long as that doesnt carry into the season its fine.
Overall I thought a fair result, we could have easily beaten them by a few more but it was useful to see the younger ones. What I dont like is them just giving any random squad numbers to the players and of course no Thud for me either as he needs a rest after his, erm rest from not being at the world cup. What it has done is made me more and more certain that we get too long away from spurs over the summer, and I’m all for backing a winter break now, I cant wait to welcome Manchester City to the lane and show them exactly why we took 4th place, bring it on.
Ok I couldnt let this go, highlight was actually seeing Gareth Bale being driven by his mum after the match.
Would I go to Bournemouth again? Yeah I would but not for football or for pulling, a nice relaxing seaside break, 2 nights is plenty long enough though or i might be calling for my slippers and rollers!
